The Motorola Droid is one of the best selling Android phones in the US so when the local Motorola distributor started bringing in its GSM variant - Milestone - it is hard not to get excited. It's selling for around RM 2200. It's also the first Android phone arrive on Malaysian shores with Eclair and Android Market. This author had the opportunity to tinker with one for a couple of hours and jot down a few observations and thoughts.
CodeAndroid Malaysia participated in the Android Developer Labs in Singapore a couple of weeks back and was lucky enough to receive Nexus Ones from Google (you guys rock!) for development work. Marvin and Bernie has put up reviews of the Nexus One, both looking at the device from a regular users' point of view. Marvin highlighted 10 favourite features of the Nexus One
while Bernie did his review
by concentrating on the phone's performance, camera, its screen and a few other stuff. Both of them came to the same conclusion though - the Nexus One is a ground-breaking Android device, for many reasons.
Marvin and Bernie recently announced completion of 2 new projects - The Star Online
news reader and KL Traffic Cam
respectively. Both are available via SlideME free of charge. In the case of KL Traffic Cam, since it's an open-source project, sources are available at Google Code
. These projects will be the first few of many more to come.
@hongster recently shared the experience of unboxing his brand new Nexus One
I have bought a Nexus One
and I would like to share my excitement with a video. Just a simple
recording with an old digital camera.
Here's a sponsored video of Google's 'super phone', the Nexus One.
Granted, it's not real, but that does not make it any less cool. Enjoy
Hi, Antollroid is a little simple application created in December 2009.
It is a toll fare calculator. I was traveling to Melaka for vocation
last year. Since I am driving on the North-South Expressway
, I would like to know how much it would cost so that I can top up my Touch'n Go
card in advance. This need motivates me to create a toll fare calculator for Android platform. [More
